2 dead bodies found in Northern Samar

TWO dead bodies were found along the shores of San Antonio and Victoria in Northern Samar, police said Thursday, September 9, 2021.

The bodies were already in a state of decomposition when they were retrieved by the authorities.

In Barangay Manraya, San Antonio, police said the unidentified person was wearing red and gray sweatshirt, gray underwear, and about 5’5’’ in height, and not a resident of the town.

Officials of the barangay, together with the personnel of the Municipal Risk Reduction and Management Office, buried the cadaver in the cemetery due to its decomposing stage.

In Barangay Libertad, Victoria, an unidentified body was found wearing a green sweatshirt with marking and yellow pants marked with the word Mapeh, about 50 years old, with a height of around 5’4’’.

The unidentified person also wore a ring on his right ring finger.

Police have coordinated with the other adjacent municipalities for the possible identification of the victims.

In initial information, the authorities believed that the victims drowned during the onslaught of Typhoon Jolina on September 7. (SunStar Philippines)
