QUALIFIED persons with disabilities (PWDs) will soon receive financial assistance of P4,000 from the Cebu City Government after Mayor Edgar Labella signed on September 8, 2021 Executive Order 143 that outlines the guidelines for the house-to-house distribution of the cash aid.
The distribution will start on September 18, 2021.
Following City Ordinance 2456, qualified PWDs are entitled to financial assistance of P1,000 per month or a total of P12,000 a year.
The P4,000 they will receive is representative of June, July, August and September 2021, or four months.
Labella, in his EO, mandated strict observance of health protocols, including wearing face masks.
The EO also asks PWDs to prepare their IDs and ballpen and place a marker outside their house that can easily be identified by the disbursement officers. (NRC)
