TWO wanted persons were arrested in separate law enforcement operations in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported Monday, September 13.
Police Major Shellamie Chang, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested persons as Jolito Arojado, 56; and Jay Llaneras, 24.
Chang said Arojado, a farmer, was nabbed in a law enforcement operation around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, September 12, in Purok 2 in Dipaya village, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.
Arojado has a standing warrant of arrest for murder issued on September 6, 2021 by the court of Pagadian City.
Llaneras, on the other hand, was arrested around 1 p.m. Sunday, September 12, in Purok 2 in Legarda Dos village, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.
Llaneras has a standing warrant of arrest for homicide with P120,000 recommended bail issued on July 1, 2021 by the court of San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.
Chang said the two suspects were placed under police custody for proper documentation and disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
