161 new Covid-19 cases in Oro over the weekend

THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro has noted a decline in the number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases, as the city logged 161 infections over the weekend.

The cumulative confirmed cases in the city have reached 18,562.

The City Health Office said that among the 161 cases, two were locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and 159 were local transmissions.

Of the 159 new cases, 84 were local index cases, 46 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, 17 were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), seven were Apors with link, and five were mortalities.

The active cases in Cagayan de Oro have reached 3,895, of which 944 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,936 were outpatients, and 15 were ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 34 new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 13,875.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 792.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinees who tested positive for the virus in Cagayan de Oro has reached 4,264, the City Health Office reported.

It added that of the 4,264 vaccinees, 2,657 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 812 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 280 with Pfizer, 252 were vaccinated with Sputnik V, 247 were vaccinated with Janssen, 11 were vaccinated with Moderna, and five were vaccinated with Sinopharm.

Of the 2,657 Covid-positive Sinovac vaccinees, 2,105 individuals were experiencing mild symptoms, 380 were asymptomatic, 165 had moderate symptoms and seven were severe cases.

Among the 812 AstraZeneca vaccinees, 608 individuals had mild symptoms, 150 were asymptomatic, 50 had moderate symptoms and four were severe cases.
