Former DBM official, Pharmally execs placed on immigration lookout list

THE Department of Justice (DOJ) has placed former Department of Budget and Management (DBM) undersecretary Lloyd Christopher Lao, Deputy Ombudsman Warren Rex Liong and seven executives of Pharmally Pharmaceuticals Corporation under the Bureau of Immigration lookout list.

Among the Pharmally officials on the lookout list are Twinkle Dargani, Huang Tzu Yen, Krizle Grace Mago, Justine Garado, Linconn Ong and Mohit Dargani.

"The BI (Bureau of Immigration) will make the proper arrangements for monitoring the subject’s travel movements abroad," Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said in a message to reporters.

The DOJ is also expected to issue a lookout bulletin against former presidential adviser for economic affairs Michael Yang based on the request of the Senate blue ribbon committee.

The Senate committee has been investigating the transactions of Pharmally, a small company that was awarded a government contract amounting to P8.68 billion for the supply of face masks, face shields, coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) test kits and personal protective equipment.

The contract was awarded by the Procurement Service of the Department of Budget and Management, which was headed by Lao and which procured the medical supplies using Department of Health funds. (Third Anne Peralta-Malonzo / SunStar Philippines)
