ILOILO City residents are urged to practice the strict home quarantine protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19, as cases shift to infect more members of the family living under the same roof.

Mayor Jerry Treñas said office protocols seem to be working as tracing leads to households.

“The war front is now on the households. The workplaces used to have many transmissions, but with protocols in place, the infection has been lessened,” Treñas said.

The City Hall Quarantine Facility Management recorded 1,117 positive patients and close contacts on home quarantine as of September 12.

Home quarantine is only allowed if the house has well-ventilated room and has own comfort room, so the patient is totally isolated from the rest of the household, subject to assessment of Barangay Health Emergency Response Team and district doctor. (PR)
