Big-time drug suspect nabbed, P340,000 'shabu' seized

POLICE operatives have arrested another alleged big-time drug suspect and seized some P340,000 worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, an official announced Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

Police Colonel Rexmel Reyes, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspect as Ajid Oron Abdulah, 27 years old.

Reyes said that Abdulah was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 4:05 p.m. Monday, September 13, at Fermin Drive in Mampang village.

Reyes said that recovered from Abdulah were some 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, a bundle of boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill as marked money and a cellular phone.

He said the anti-drug operation was launched following series of surveillance on the illegal drug trade activity of the suspect.

He said that charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect.

Abdulah was the second alleged big-time drug suspect who was arrested.

The first was Daniel Rajal, 24, who was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 10 a.m. Monday along Veterans Avenue in Camino Nuevo village.

Seized from Rajal were some 100 grams (not 50 grams as earlier reported) of suspected shabu worth P680,000, a bundle of P240,000 boodle money topped with one genuine P1,0000 bill as marked money, a cellular phone, and a motorcycle. (SunStar Zamboanga)
