THE Cebu City Vaccine Operations Center (VOC) has noted that some people are being "picky" about vaccine brands, resulting in a low number of vaccinees.

The officer-in-charge of the Cebu City Health Department (CHD), Jeffrey Ibones, admitted that there has been a low turnout of their output for first-dose vaccinees.

Ibones explained this after the Visayas Vaccine Operations Center (VVOC) noticed that some local government units in Metro Cebu, including Cebu City, did not meet their target number of doses set to be administered.

"Ang akong tan-aw ang mga taw namili og bakuna. Ganahan sila'g Pfizer, AstraZeneca ug Moderna (For me, the people are being picky, they want Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Moderna)," said Ibones in an interview with SunStar Cebu.

Ibones, though, did not disclose what vaccines are currently being administered at the vaccination sites in Cebu City.

The low turnout of vaccinees happens despite the fact that the City Government allows walk-ins to the vaccination sites in Cebu City.

Ibones said the City continues to allow walk-in to its vaccination sites "until further notice."

He said the system used to relay messages to the registered individuals is still under maintenance. (JJL)
