THE Leyte Police Provincial Office (LPPO) has recently received nine brand new computer sets with printers and five laptops from the Leyte Provincial Governor's Office.

“This new equipment will go a long way in providing excellent services to our people here in Leyte as well as getting rid of criminality here in the province,” said Leyte Police Provincial Director Colonel Rodelio Samson.

Samson lauded Governor Leopoldo Dominico Petilla for his support to the police force.

Lawyer Edgardo Cordeño, the provincial administrator, turned over the computer equipment to Samson and LPPO deputy chief for operations Lieutenant Colonel Ricky Reli in a simple ceremony on September 14, 2021.

The coronavirus pandemic has revealed the need for additional equipment to strengthen LPPO’s information management system, according to the Provincial Government.

The computers will be for additional teleworking capacity and coordination between the regional level of governance and the different municipal police stations in Leyte and the Leyte Provincial Mobile Force Companies.

LPPO will distribute the new computer sets to the heads of the different offices and units of the provincial police. (SunStar Philippines)
