IN SOME of her apparitions, the Blessed Virgin Mary referred to "long years" of trials ahead. If this is so, then the prophesied chastisement is not that soon. What is soon, so say modern Catholic mystics, are the prophesied Warning and Miracle, which are to occur in the same year.
These three major prophecies- the Warning, the Miracle and the Chastisement- were most prominent in the messages of the Blessed Mother in her apparitions to four girls in Garabandal, Spain from 1961 to 1965.
Glenn Hudson, a friend of Garabandal visionary Conchita and administrator of the Facebook group The Miracle of Garabandal, has noted that believers in the apparitions in that remote hamlet in Spain include St. Padre Pio, Saints Popes John Paul II and Paul VI, and St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, among others.
And so many people, even non-Catholics, keep a beady eye on what happened in Garabandal where the Blessed Mother had appeared about 2,000 times, as well as on the lives of the three remaining visionaries (Mari Loli passed on in 2009 after an exemplary life) who, despite now being in their senior years, are expected to live long enough to witness at least the Warning and the Miracle. It is in this context that many have come out with speculations on when the two events are to happen, given some hints from no less than the Mother of God.
But first, amid the coronavirus pandemic, may I cite anew Mr. Hudson in his March 19, 2020 interview of Conchita on the tribulations of our times. He quoted Conchita as follows:
"God is detaching us from the securities of this world. In the silence of the Church or in our house, we are now able to make an examination of conscience so we can clean what prevents us from hearing the Voice of God clearly. With sincerity we can ask God to tell us what He wants of us today, and continue to do that every day. And spend as much time as possible with God at church or somewhere in your home or where you find the silence. He is all we need."
And now on when the Miracle is to happen. From Mr. Hudson's group is an interview of Conchita by Fr. Gustovo Morales on May 6, 1986.
Q. Did Conchita ever reveal anything special to you?
A. Well, she used to say to me that if I guessed the day of The Miracle that she would tell me, so I would try to guess the date but I never did. Every time I would give her a date she would say, 'No that's not it.' Until one time she said, 'I will help you to guess. It will happen between the months of February and July and it will be between the 7th and the 17th, but I will not tell you which year.' She assured me that The Miracle would not happen in the month of May.
Mr. Hudson also cited the book, "Miracle at Garabandal" by Harry Daley who quoted Conchita as saying, "I will also tell you that it (meaning the Miracle) is going to happen either in April or May."
"Since she had already assured Father Morelos back in 1965 that the Miracle would not happen in May, it can safely be concluded that April must be the month in which it will take place. I spoke to Conchita about all these details as recent as April 25, 1988 during a telephone conversation, and while she was not able to recall saying what she did say to both Father Morelos and Harry Daley, commenting that she had not read his book, she did not deny saying them nor did she contradict April as being The Miracle month. I pointed out that I intended to publish this information in 'The Vigil' unless she said it was not true which she did not do, rather her reply was, 'You can do what you want,'" Mr. Hudson noted.
The Garabandal visionaries also said in various interviews that the Warning would happen when the world would be at its "worst." They said this would mean communism being spread all over the world.
In this regard, it is interesting to note a message from the Blessed Mother to stigmatist mystic Luz de Maria de Bonilla on September 10, 2021, thus:
"Beloved children of my Immaculate Heart: I bless you as Mother of Humanity. I call you to renounce sin and to entrust yourselves to my Son. Humanity has become perverted to the point of surrendering to evil — that evil which humanity does not wish to renounce. The Devil has seduced you, leading you to despise the Commandments, Sacraments and Works of Mercy. My heart bleeds at the state of this generation, given over to the vices of the flesh, arriving at abominations and aberrations with which you are tearing the heart of my Son and my Heart...
"To you who listen to the word of this Mother: I call you to remain faithful, to live the faith in all its splendor, seeing in martyrdom the triumph that makes you resemble my Son.
"The great machinery of evil is seizing what belongs to my Son: the human being, which it keeps in degradation in order to make you dependent. This machinery is Communism which has degraded man in every aspect of life, harboring violence, division and opposition. It has risen up in order to oppress mankind. The pain will become stronger for my children; you will be forced to deny the Miracle of the Eucharist and will be strongly tested. Do not lose heart, children, do not lose heart: continue firm in the Faith. You know that pain is expiation and that your offerings are not lost.
"Humanity has gone from a 'before' to a 'now', that 'now' being when evil is wounding my Heart by attacking my children. The elements have unleashed their fury, which will increase until human creatures feel cornered and stumble in the Faith. It is humanity that has offended My Divine Son by worshipping false gods. This Spawn of evil has come in order to destroy man, to blaspheme my Son and His Church, to slander, to worship itself and to impose idols that it will take into the temples of my Son. Events will continue: the moon and the sun will create interference leading to great geographical changes and the elements will rise up with greater force, changing the Earth’s climate.
"You should not be afraid: Heaven is indeed with you. Keep the Commandments; do not faint on the way; you will not be alone. My Son will give some of my favored sons the spiritual strength and faith to keep you on my Son’s path, not forgetting that the Angel of Peace will be sent from on High to comfort you when necessary and to keep the People faithful. You need to have the assurance that you are not alone; the scourges are growing closer and stronger every day. I call you to pray that the scourge of Communism would be stopped. I assure you that faithfulness towards the Father’s House, such as you have never experienced, will come afterward.
"I bless you, children, with my maternal protection. With my Immaculate Heart, I bless and protect you."
