Candaba vice mayor contracts coronavirus

CANDABA Vice Mayor Michael Sagum has tested positive for the coronavirus.

In his Facebook account, Sagum posted on Saturday, September 18, 2021, the positive result of his reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction test.

He said he had been in quarantine since September 6 after his wife tested positive for the virus.

A few days after, Sagum said Covid-19 symptoms such as cough, colds and loss of sense of taste started manifesting in his body, prompting him to get tested.

The vice mayor said he will remain in quarantine until he is clinically declared as recovered to prevent exposing other people to the virus.

He also urged the public to continue observing health protocols to avoid, as much as possible, getting infected by the disease.
