ANG Delta variant sa Sars-CoV-2, ang kagaw nga maoy hinungdan sa coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), mao na karon ang labing komon nga matang gikan sa sequenced samples sa Pilipinas, matod ni Department of Health (DOH) Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire sa Lunes, Septiyembre 20, 2021.
Matod ni Vergeire nga sa Septiyembre 18, dunay 319 ka bag-ong Delta cases, siyam ka Beta ug 13 ka mga Alpha.
Kini nagdala ngadto sa 3,027 ka mga kaso sa Delta sa nasod kun 24.16 porsyento gikan sa 12, 773 ka samples.
“This variant is now the most common lineage among sequenced samples as of the latest whole genome sequencing run,” matod ni Vergeire sa usa ka press conference.
Mokabat sa 2,734 ang Beta cases ug 2,461 ang Alpha nga na-detect sa nasod.
“Since the detection of the first local Delta variant case was collected in May, an increase in the proportion of Delta variant cases were seen for the succeeding months,” matod niya.
“The increased proportion of these variants can be attributed to their increase transmissibility; however, sampling methodology also affects these proportions as samples from target areas are prioritized more,” siya nidugang.
Matod sa DOH nga sa Septiyembre 19, dunay kinatibuk-ang 178,196 ka aktibong mga kaso sa Covid-19 sa Pilipinas, ug sa pagkakaron, moabot na og 2,366,749 ka mga kaso sa Covid-19 nga natala sa nasod.
Sa kompirmadong mga kaso, 36,788 ang nangamatay samtang 2,151,765 ang naka recover.
Matod ni Vergeire nga ang gidaghanon sa nangamatay nagsaka tungod usab sa pagsulbong sa gidaghanon sa kompirmadong mga kaso.
Matod niya nga nagkaminos ang mga kaso sa National Capital Region (NCR) plus areas, nga naglakip sa Cavite, Laguna, Rizal ug Quezon, samtang ang ubang mga dapit sa Luzon nagsaka.Ni-plateau ang Mindanao ug Visayas.
“Looking at our epidemic curve, we see a new peak every week since the start of August. The average of cases in the recent week is twice as much as the average of cases in the peak we saw last April,” nagkanayon si Vergeire. / SunStar Philippines
“Nationally, we remain to be at high-risk classification with a positive two-week growth rate at 18 percent and a high risk average daily attack rate at 18.56 cases per every 100,000 population,” siya nidugang.
Nabantayan usab ang pagminos sa pagsaka sa duha ka mga semana sa NCR, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Calabarzon, Central Luzon, Caraga, Davao ug Ilocos region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Mimaropa ug Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Barmm).
Ang mayoriya sa mga dapit nagsaka, samtang ang Central Visayas ug Northern Mindanao dunay negatibong growth rate.
