Estremera: The downside of manifesting

WE’RE in an era where manifesting seems to be a buzzword that is shared and boasted about in different circles. Law of attraction since Rhonda Byrne’s book “The Secret” and Abraham Hicks’ internet presence was picked up by many since the mid-2000s is a thing shared by many. And true enough, many succeeded... and then lost it.

Through the years then, I’ve been receiving messages and questions from younger friends seeking my advice, many of whom delve into why after the first few tries, they can no longer manifest.

My explanation goes like this: It’s because manifesting or the Law of Attraction is just the entry-level to spirituality. If you can’t hold up all that holds up what is spiritual, then you will hit a dead end.

We all start from the bottom of the pit -- self-pity, blaming, ignorance. Then the lucky few see the light and learn to manifest. Sad to say, many think that is the be-all-end-all of man’s existence. No.

It’s a taste of greater things you can achieve as has been promised in the Holy Bible.

“Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12)

This is one verse I’ve been sharing with my former mentees in our fun spirituality group I called “Kulto ni Ikik” several years ago. In this Bible verse is the declaration that we have the power, but which most cannot access or do not even know they have.

Those who have become aware, however, get stuck at the level of Law of Attraction and cannot move forward or upward.

Reality check: You entered the level of manifesting your wishes, which actually is a level of spirituality. Now if you expect to be able to go up the ladder and manifest greater things without building up your spiritual bank account... then soon you will realize it becomes more difficult to manifest. Why?

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)

Like the John verse, where it predicates deep faith in the Christ, the Matthew verse predicates God first.

So, if you think you can continue to manifest your wishes without having to jack up your spiritual investments, you have another thing coming. That’s not how it works.

Manifestation and the Law of Attraction are spiritual laws, ergo, if you want to continue using them, then you have to abide by spiritual protocols. We’re not saying that you become a priest or a nun or a contemplative, King Solomon was the richest and wisest, and he enjoyed God’s graces. Guess why he fell from that pedestal? Oops! Ostentatious display of wealth paired with abuse of those he ruled. Bad karma. Downfall. See where it’s all coming from? For both good and bad?

Believe in Christ and seek first the Kingdom of God (Take note I have not written Jesus, but Christ). That is how you will continue to manifest your dreams beyond your initial successes. No good deeds and good spiritual investments? No karmic benefits. Period.

What’s the first step? Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, founder of pranic healing, has very practical teachings you can apply. Seek his teachings out and learn to heal, build your karmic investments, and reap what you have sowed. There are other ways of course, but I say, this is the most practical I’ve yet encountered.
