IMPORTANT messages can be picked from the only Church-approved Marian apparitions in the African continent, specifically in Kibeho, Rwanda from 1981 to 1989.
Several youths were reported to have seen and communicated with the Blessed Virgin Mary there, but the Church, known for her prudence in dealing with reported supernatural events, approved the mystical experiences of only three visionaries, all girls, there. But this is not to disparage the claims of other reported seers, including former pagan youth, Emmanuel Segatasha who encountered no less than Jesus Christ several times in a bean field in that remote town.
Feeling drained by reports of massive corruption in the use of government funds amid the mounting misery of millions during the coronavirus pandemic, I am now sharing some messages from Our Lady of Kibeho on why there is reason to accept sacrifices and sufferings even as others wallow in the unabated pursuit of material possessions.
In Kibeho, The Blessed Mother told seer Anathalie Mukamazimpaka as follows: “So many souls are running to ruin that I need your help to turn them back to my son. As long as you are on Earth, you have to contribute to the salvation of souls. If you will work with me, I shall give you a mission to lead those lost souls back from the darkness. Because the world is bad, my child, you will suffer—so if you accept this mission, you must also accept all the sufferings I send you with joy, love, and patience.”
“No one goes to heaven without suffering. And as a child of Mary, you may never put down the cross you bear,” the Blessed Mother stressed.
At one time, the Blessed Mother also told Anathelie to make use of the booklet The Imitation of Christ and apply the passages there to her life. I ask readers to purchase a copy of that booklet by Thomas a'Kempis to realize how far the world has moved away from its prescriptions.
This episode in Kibeho reminds us of what the Blessed Mother told visionary Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes years earlier: “I cannot promise you happiness in this world, but I can promise you eternal happiness in the next world.”
Similarly, Jesus Himself told visionary Emmanuel Segatasha (not included in the three recognized by the Church but no less credible): "Even though you are suffering like this now, know that I have gone through even worse suffering than this before you ... take heart and do not give up hope. Hold on to me, trust in me, lean on me, and I will carry you through your darkness. Hold on to the truth, and I will be there for you ... call upon me and you will never be alone, ask and I will listen to you..."
And then, to go on with messages thru modern mystics. Let me share the following message of the Blessed Mother to mystic Pedro Regis on September 16, 2021, also telling us of the value of sufferings:
"Dear children, do not fold your arms. God is making haste. Do not put off until tomorrow what you have to do. You are living in the time of the great spiritual battle, and only by the power of prayer can you achieve victory. The enemies will act to bring you down, but I will be with you, holding your hands to help you stand firm. Courage! Take my appeals and testify everywhere that you belong to my Son Jesus.
"You will yet have long years of hard trials. Be alert. This is the message that I give you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for having allowed Me to gather you here once more. I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be at peace."
Again on the need to carry our crosses, the Blessed Mother told Pedro on September 14, 2021:
"Dear children, humanity will drink the bitter cup of suffering, but do not retreat. There is no victory without the Cross. Take courage. My Jesus is walking with you. Give Him your very existence and you will be able to face all the coming obstacles. The victory of the righteous will come, but first you will have to carry a heavy cross. I ask you to keep the flame of your faith alight. When all seems lost, the Lord will act in favor of the righteous. Seek strength in prayer and the Eucharist.
"I am your Mother and I love you. When you feel weak, call on Jesus. In Him is your strength. Go forward on the path that I have pointed out to you. This is the message that I give you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for having allowed me to gather you here once more. I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be at peace."
St. Michael the Archangel again had a message relayed to Luz de Maria de Bonilla on Sept. 14, 2021 as follows."
"Beloved People of Our King and Lord Jesus Christ: As commander of the Heavenly Host I call you to commit yourselves to our Queen and Sorrowful Mother. Every human being is an expression of Divine Love and Motherly Love. Our Queen and Mother calls you in order to lead you to Her Son, who gave Himself on the Cross as the Gentle Lamb for the sins of humanity. Our Queen and Mother does not rest: she invites and exhorts you continually to conversion, to prayer, to penance...
"Have you repented of your wrongful works and actions so that, having repented, you might set out on the path to Salvation? There are those who are still indifferent to what they see before their eyes. They wish to ignore the truth of this time in order not to think and not to change their lives. Creatures of delusion! Without changing your lives, without the desire and readiness for conversion, you will not be able to save your souls. The flames of Hell [1] are a terrible torment and our Queen and Mother suffers due to the disobedience of humanity. On this day, make reparation for having made the Immaculate Heart of our Queen and Mother suffer. Without wasting time, make reparation, reparation... before it is too late....
"Beloved People of Our King and Lord Jesus Christ, prepare yourselves spiritually, be fraternal, protect yourselves, keep the Commandments and examine them.
"Be the peace that humanity does not have...Be the blessing that humanity does not offer...
Be observant regarding what I convey to you by Divine Will. May peace be the instrument within you for overcoming evil.
"Do not fear: Heaven protects you at all times, do not fear. I bless you, I defend you from all evil. Honor the Queen and Sorrowful Mother."
