THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to decline, as the city recorded 45 new cases, one of whom is a returning overseas Filipino worker (ROF) and 44 are local cases.
This brought the cumulative number of Covid-19 infections in the city to 19,099.
Of the 44 new confirmed cases, 26 were local index cases, 10 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, two local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), three Apors with link, and three mortalities.
Cagayan de Oro recorded 3,843 active cases, 954 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 2,873 were outpatients, and 16 ROFs/LSIs.
The city also registered 62 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 14,441.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city reached 815.
Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals who tested positive for coronavirus in Cagayan de Oro is now at 4,549.
Of the 4,549 vaccinees, 2,832 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine; 857 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca; 301 with Pfizer; 271 with Sputnik V; 268 with Janssen; five with Sinopharm; 15 with Moderna.
