Over 1,000 protocol violators nabbed in Central Luzon

IN A single-day operation on September 19, 2021, more than 1,000 individuals were apprehended in Central Luzon for violating different health protocols.

Police Regional Office Central Luzon Director Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon said a total of 1,392 individuals were collared through the continuous stern enforcement of Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) regulations.

Of the said number, 940 were caught for the improper wearing and not wearing of face masks; 311 were caught for the improper wearing and not wearing of face shields; eight were apprehended for prohibition on mass gathering; and 133 were warned for violation of social distancing.

As part of the stern implementation of Health Restriction through IATF Guidelines 155, persons were also denied entry.

"We continuously appeal to the public for understanding and adherence to the IATF restrictions as we continue to be very strict in its implementation,” De Leon said.
