THE Megawide Construction Corporation and the Cebu City Government distributed certificates of award to more than 30 ambulant vendors of Carbon Public Market, Thursday evening, September 23, 2021.

Along with this is the unveiling and opening of the Carbon Bagsakan, the first actual development turned over by the Megawide and the City Government.

Louie Ferrer, Megawide’s Infrastructure Development Division executive director, said it took them time to finalize the number of ambulant vendors.

"Daghan kay'ng questions about ambulant vendors concerns kay the past few months, na prioritize ang regular vendors. We presented the design, the stalls, tanan nga sila ang na prioritized. Tapos ang ambulant, ingon mi sa ila nga ang sila ang nadugay gamay because sila ang wala pa mahatag og final list ba," he said.

He said the information from the local government unit and from the ambulant leaders on the actual number of ambulant vendors were conflicting.

He said it was only finalized last month.

"Muhatag mi og certificates sa ila just to make them feel comfortable ba nga makasud g’yod mo because this certificate has the signature of the Mayor and our signature," he added. (WBS)
