ACTRESS and businesswoman Neri Naig, wife of Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda, offered the couple who was scammed by a wedding coordinator in Cebu a free reception.

“Bilang naging bride din ako, ang pinakaayaw natin ay ma-stress sa mismong kasal natin. Kahit lahat ng tao sa paligid natin, hindi tayo dapat binibigyan ng stress. Kung sino po ang nakakakilala sa bride, pakisabi po, message po ako,” Naig-Miranda said.

Naig-Miranda owns a Korean restaurant in Cebu City.

“Kami na bahala sa reception niya. Malapit lang naman ang Jeju Samgyupsal sa lugar nila. Dun na natin ganapin ang reception nyo,” she told Cherry Pie Purisima, the bride who was seen on video crying after finding out that wedding coordinator Naser Fuentes had not booked a place for her wedding reception.

Purisima and her husband, Arniel Satingasin, tied the knot last Wednesday, September 22.

Naig-Miranda told the couple, however, that the restaurant can accommodate around 20

people only due to dining restrictions brought by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Since mahigpit po ang dine-in pa rin, mga 20 pax po ang kakasya sa Jeju Samgyupsal Resto po namin sa Cebu,” she said.

She said they will also shoulder the wedding cake and program host.

“May pabaon kaming Terra accessories, Very Neri beddings, Very Neri sleepwear gift from Saturday Dress para sa bride,” she added.

She assured Purisima that what she offered are for free.

“Wala kayong gagastusin mag-asawa. Kami na bahala. May pa-pocket money kami sa inyo kahit papaano. Huwag ka nang umiyak. Kami na bahala sa inyo,” she said.

Meanwhile, Purisima and her husband said earlier that they might press charges against Fuentes, who was arrested Thursday night, September 23, for a estafa case filed in 2013. (Laureen Mondoñedo-Ynot)
