Covid-19 cases in Minalin town on the rise anew

THE cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Minalin town, Pampanga showed an upward trend compared to the past week, the Rural Health Unit (RHU) here reported.

In its weekly bulletin released on September 18, 2021, the RHU reported that 49 new Covid-19 cases were added to its list over the past seven days alone.

This resulted in the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in the town from 37 on September 11 to 60 on September 18.

The RHU said active cases were scattered across all the 15 barangays of the municipality, with Sta. Rita village having the highest number of active cases with 12, followed by Sta. Maria with nine and Sto. Domingo with eight.

Barangays San Nicolas and Sto. Rosario also both had six; Lourdes had four; San Isidro had three; Sta. Catalina, San Francisco II, Bulac and Maniango all had two; and San Francisco I, San Pedro, Dawe and Saplad all had one.

Meanwhile, the number of recovered patients also increased from 541 to 566 in the past week alone.

The RHU reminded anew MinaleƱos to sternly observe health protocols as the situation is more difficult nowadays due to more contagious Covid-19 variants, and shortage of hospital beds and slots in quarantine facilities.
