A COMPANY’S strength comes greatly from its staff and employees. And the vigor and enthusiasm of any employees to give their best at work is not solely because they love what they do but also because the company takes care of them very well.
Yearly, as Sunstar Davao celebrates its anniversary, it also awards its loyal employees for their valuable contribution through the years. This time of the 26th year celebration of Sunstar Davao, four of its employees receive their loyalty awards, and here’s what they say how it is working with the company:

20-year service awardee
It feels just like yesterday since I started working with Sunstar Davao but it’s been two decades naman diay. Time flies so fast! During the 20 years, with all the ups and downs I have stood still with Sunstar Davao, 20 amazing years of work. Sunstar has been with me as I try and fail, learn and grow over these years. It was challenging and the challenge took me out of my comfort zone. I learned a lot. I welcomed the opportunity for a change of departments as well as challenges in work that I’ve been doing for the past 20 years. I am grateful for Sunstar Davao for offering me so many opportunities to try out. The variety of positions and tasks that help me to identify where I am best or weak at. With Sunstar Davao I became a person with an abundance of positive vibe and confidence to get things done perfectly. Passion, hard work, and loyalty throughout these years is my gift to Sunstar Davao and I wish to continue to hold my strong professional and personal bond with Sunstar Davao for another 20 more years.

(I am greatly thankful to Sunstar because even in this trying time especially since it's pandemic, it continues to give good news to the public)

5-year service awardee
This is the longest I've stayed in a job and that's something I consider a personal achievement. My five years in SunStar Davao have taught me to be a better storyteller regardless of the medium used. It has taught me to be flexible and to go out of my comfort zone. More than self-improvement, five years with SunStar has also taught me to genuinely care for the community, to side with the truth, and be the voice of the voiceless.

Daku kaayo akong pasalamat labaw sa tanan sa Ginoo nga nasulod ko sa usa ka kompanya nga bisan tuod ug wa koy nahuman, high school graduate lang na-regular ko sa usa ka kompanya. Thankful ko sukad pa sauna; kang mam Tessie, mam Bing, mam Donna, sa mga empleyado kay sa pagsugod nko as janitress nauyunan nila akong pagserbisyo for 10 years. Ug karon usa na jud ko ka regular employee nga nilungtad na ug lima ka tuig. So daghan kaayong salamat Sunstar Davao, Sunstar management sa inyong kaayo dinhi kanako.
(I am grateful most especially to God because I was hired by the company even though I am only a high school graduate but they made me a regular employee. I am thankful ever since; to ma'am Tessie, ma'am Bing, ma'am Donna, and to all Sunstar Davao employees because when I started as a janitress, they approved of my service for 10 years, and now I am already a regular employee who is serving the company for five years. So again thank you very much Sunstar Davao, Sunstar management for your kindness toward me)
