VACCINATE all tourism workers by the end of October.
This was the challenge of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat during the ceremonial vaccination of Cebu tourism workers on Friday, September 24, 2021.
"Cebu is really one of our top tourist destinations, and the only way that we can bounce back is for everyone to be vaccinated," she said.
Puyat said the Department of Tourism's goal is to vaccinate one hundred percent of all tourism workers in the whole country by Christmas.
Vaccine czar and National Task Force Against Covid-19 Chief Implementor Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. revealed that around 50 percent of the tourism workers in the tri-cities of Cebu have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
Puyat, Deputy Chief Implementer Secretary Vince Dizon, Project Balik Buhay (PBB) chair Edmun Lui, PBB co-chair Kenneth Cobonpue and Hotel, Resort, Restaurant Association of Cebu president Alfred Reyes were also present during the ceremonial vaccination at Oakridge in Mandaue City. (JOB)
