Capas town records 185 active cases of Covid-19

THE local government of Capas town in Tarlac province has recorded 185 active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases as of Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

The figure includes patients who tested positive in the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test, the Capas Covid Task Force stated in its September 22, 2021 update.

Suspected patients and those exposed to virus carriers are now undergoing quarantine in their respective homes and barangay isolation units because of the lack of facilities and congested hospitals in the municipality and nearby areas.

The task force appealed to the town residents to stay home and avoid gatherings to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the locality.

Several health workers are under quarantine and medical services in other barangay health units, according to the task force.

A total of 2,321 cases were recorded in the town since the pandemic started in March 2020.

Some 2,059 of these patients had recovered from the virus.

A total of 77 individuals had died from Covid-19, the task force stated.
