THE Suganob brothers will headline Bohol’s first boxing show since Covid-19 hit the country in 2020.
Regie Suganob takes on Jake Amparo in an eight-round main event of PMI Boxing’s “Kumong Bol-anon” on Sept. 27, 2021, in Tabalong, Dauis, Bohol.
Rodel Suganob, in the meantime, locks horns with Anthony Galigao in a six-rounder.
Regie kept himself busy in 2021 and won back-to-back fights against MJ Bo and Paolo Sy.
Amparo, on the other hand, hasn’t fought for more than a year. His last fight was a six-round technical knockout over Jakeson Saludar on Dec. 21, 2019.
Regie is 7-0 with threw knockouts, while Amparo is 6-2-1 with a knockout.
Meanwhile, Rodel also fought twice in 2021. He settled to a draw with Luis Borje and beat Mark Jequinto by unanimous decision. Galigao lost back-to-back fights and was stopped by Carlo Demecillo in the fifth round.
Rodel is 3-0-1, while Galigao is 9-15 with four knockouts.
In the undercard, Johnriel Castino (7-1, 4 KOs) slugs it out with Kim Lindog (5-11-1, 4 KOs), Jason Dogelio (8-6, 3 KOs) squares off with Mark Anthony Rotilles (2-7, 1 KO) and Angilou Dalogdog makes his pro debut against Roga Libres (3-15). (EKA)
