Samtang gitakda nga mopatawag og tigum ang Cebu Provincial Council sa Biyernes, Oktubre 1, 2021 aron hisgutan ang posible nga lakang nga dili makamugna og grabeng kadaot atol sa panahon sa ting-uwan.
Ang konseho sa Cebu City mi-awhag sa Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), Department of Public Service, Department of Engineering and Public Works, and Department of General Service sa pagsusi sa kondisyon sa tanang heavy equipment nga gipanag-iya sa siyudad pangandam sa ting-uwan o ting-bagyo.
Si Cebu City Councilor Raul Alcoseba mipalabang og resolusyon nga nagpahinumdom sa ginganlan nga upat ka mga departmento nga ipa-ayo ang mga naguba nga heavy equipment nga magamit unya ilabi na ngadto sa bukirang barangay.
“We are now in the typhoon season and the possibility of more rains and flooding in the City of Cebu may be prevalent which the Cebu City Government needs to be prepared for in cases of, among others, landslides or soil erosion, flooding, and failing of trees in parts of Cebu City, especially in the mountain barangays,” tipik sa resolusyon ni Alcoseba.
Samtang si Wilson Ramos, interim information officer sa Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) nga bisan adunay katakus ang mga LGUs sa lalawigan, apan gikihanglan gihapon hisgutan ang mga pagpangandam nga angayang himuon.(WBS, ANV)
