THE Oakridge Realty Development Corp. entered into a Retail Electricity Supply (RES) contract with First Gen Energy Solutions Inc. to supply Oakridge Business Park, the company’s flagship development, with clean and renewable energy in support of Oakridge Business Park’s future development plans.
The transition to using green energy is part of Oakridge’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and ongoing efforts to create a more regenerative environment.
In a virtual signing ceremony, Oakridge Realty Development Corp.’s managing director, Anne Liu stated, “Oakridge appreciates the commitment of First Gen in providing a clean energy solution to the market.” She added, “Oakridge, being in the real estate industry, understands the value of investing for the long term, of improving today for tomorrow.”
Over the years, Oakridge has continuously invested in sustainable technology solutions in accordance with the Clean Air and Water Act, from upgrading its in-house sewage treatment plant, in-house material recovery facility and hazardous waste storage facility to emergency power systems.
Jerome Cainget, the vice-president of First Gen Energy Solutions Inc. representing the company during the virtual signing ceremony, also acknowledged and reiterated their support. “We’re very happy to be partners with Oakridge.
