BACOLODNON Michael Tambasen is a musical virtuoso who is gifted with versatility in playing various musical instruments.

He is skilled at playing the piano, saxophone, drums, bass guitar, and violin, sharpened by his constant practice.

He participates in concerts such as the prominent Jazz festivals held every MassKara festival and some concerts held in Bacolod, Iloilo, Dumaguete and had international exposures in Thailand.

Tambasen also experienced working in a cruise ship as a musician and mentors budding musicians as his way of giving back.

Tambasen creates company jingles, musicale plays, backing tracks, musical arrangements, and live performances.

At age 12, he started playing the classical piano, and at the age of 14, he constantly trained himself in Jazz music up to the present.

Tambasen has a piece of exceptional knowledge and interest in the musical instrument.

His family encouraged him to embrace music as they had sensed his interest at a very young age.

But experience has taught him many lessons that motivated him to persist with his brand of music.

But just like any ordinary person, he too has his shares of disappointments as musicians have less financial rewards, which he attributes to the apparent lack of government support.

But he keeps his core on the brighter side of life.

Furthermore, the Covid-19 pandemic has affected musicians too, as events and special occasions were discouraged up to this time.

Music is his bread and butter. But he continues to hone his talent despite the lull in the entertainment industry.

He anchors his faith in God for giving him a precious talent in music.

One thing that sparked his life is the opportunity that Spotify, a Swedish audio streaming and media services provider and one of the world's largest music streaming service providers, gave him. He enlisted him in their mobile application.

Tambasen felt a breather for his musical journey as he can now perform numerous music genres.

He is someone who loves to re-arrange cover music from its original state.

Sunset view is his first EP jazz original release, which was a mere accident due to the pandemic lockdown in 2019. He has 17 singles released, adding his originals in his Meditation piano albums dubbed Finestra and Recollections. Michael Tambasen's music can now listen via Spotify.

He also shared his "Pandemic Project." He composed 40 originals, 22 piano meditations, and 18 jazz tunes in collaborations with Alvin Cornista, Nimrod Villamarzo, Riki Gonzales, and Jay Cyrus Villanueva.
