THE Moalboal Municipal Government has lifted the liquor ban, but added some rules to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

The Executive Order (EO) 33, issued by Moalboal Mayor Paz Rozgoni on Friday, October 1, stated that sharing of glasses or bottles during drinking session is not allowed.

“...for any instance where consumption of liquor is involved, there shall be no sharing of glass and/or bottle. Each person must use his or her own drinking glass at all times,” it stated.

The EO also stated that physical distancing must be observed during social gatherings, and sharing of utensils, such as plates, spoon and fork, is not allowed.

“...the guidelines include sessions in business establishments as well as sessions during intimate and special occasions involving friends, family members inside their homes and all other possible venues,” it stated.

Violators will be fined P20,000 to P50,000 or may be imprisoned for six days to one year.

Rozgoni has directed all police personnel of Moalboal to strictly implement the new rules. (ANV/LMY)
