DAVAO City has no cases of Covid-19 vaccine-related deaths, according to Task Force Covid-19 in Davao City spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser.

Schlosser responded to comments she read on social media of people speculating on the safety of Covid-19 vaccines. She said the City is not giving false data to the community as no good will come out of it.

“Murespeto man ta sa ilang emosyon. Murespeto ta sa ilang doubts pero they have to open their minds. Dili lang man gud kita isa lang nagpuyo sa kalibutan. I know naa mi mga ginatuohan, naa muy mga kahadlok but kung kadaghanan nag-prove na mas protektado gyud ta pag bakunado ta (We respect their emotions. We respect their doubts but they have to open their minds. We are not the only people living in the world. I know, we have our own beliefs and fears but many [studies] have proven that we are indeed protected with the Covid-19 vaccine),” said Schlosser during the Davao City Disaster Radio 87.5 FM live interview Friday, October 1, 2021.

“Dili basta-basta ang pag-investigate sa mga gina-claim na vaccine deaths. As of today, wala pa tay vaccine-related death. Naay nag-arise na concern before but it was proven na dili sya related sa bakuna (The investigation of claimed vaccine deaths is very thorough. As of today, we don’t have vaccine-related deaths in Davao City. There had been a related concern before but it was investigated and proven that it was not vaccine-related),” she said.

“As a medical practitioner, I value life so much. Ang among tumong (Our goal) is to save lives, not to kill people. Kung ang bakuna, makadaot (If the vaccine has damaging effects), I would never adhere to this nor will I promote the vaccine,” added Schlosser.
