Cashier stabbed dead

A CAFÉ cashier was stabbed to death at GIP Café, Purok 12-A, Barangay Alangilan, Bacolod City Sunday evening, October 3.

Police identified the fatality as Randy Parcon, 35, of Proper Cabatangan, Talisay City.

Police Captain Christopher Masangkay, chief of Police Station 5, said Monday, October 4, that the victim was about to go home when unidentified assailants attacked him using a bladed weapon around 9 p.m.

He said the victim tried to run inside the café but the suspects chased him and stabbed him several times.

The victim succumbed to multiple stab wounds and died on the spot.

The two co-workers of the victim told the police that before the incident, about three to four unidentified persons entered the café then they heard gunfire.

However, the police failed to recover any empty shell of firearms from the scene of the crime.

Masangkay said that based on the autopsy report, the victim sustained at least 30 stab wounds.

The police are eyeing grudge as possible motive in the killing of the victim. They also have already a person-of-interest in the incident.

Investigation showed that before the incident, the victim discovered the illegal activities of his co-workers inside the café.

The investigators are now coordinating with the café owner and its workers to file the murder charges against the suspects.
