THE wife of incumbent Talisay Mayor Gerald Anthony "Samsam" Gullas, Rhea Gullas, believes that being a mother is her strength and not a weakness in her bid for the mayoralty post of Talisay.
She filed her certificate of candidacy on Friday, October 8, 2021.
"Motherhood has prepared me for everything in life. It has taught me to be patient. It has taught me to be selfless. It has taught me to put the needs of my children before me. It has taught me to be kind. It has taught me to be so many things all at once, and still be able to focus on what matters most to me," Gullas said.
She said the mayor, who supported her decision to run for mayor, has been her inspiration.
"My husband, Samsam Gullas, who happens to be our incumbent mayor, has been nothing short of supportive aning akong decision. He continues to inspire me, and will do so, as we take on these new paths sa among shared mission nga motabang sa among isigka Talisaynon," Rhea said.
She promised to continue the "Aksyon Agad" brand of service that her husband has started if she gets elected.
The mayor is running for Congress in the First District of Cebu. (REV)
