NIKUHA og pasidungog ang SunStar sa 2020 Civic Journalism Community Press Awards sa Philippine Press Institute (PPI) kagahapon, Oktubre 8, nga naglakip sa labing taas nga award nga Best Edited Community Newspaper.
Sa virtual ceremony nga gidumala ni PPI executive director Ariel Sebellino sa Manila, SunStar Cebu giila nga Best Edited Community Newspaper sa nasod sa daily category sa awards.
Nakuha usab kini sa Best in Business and Economic Reporting tali sa daily newspapers sa tibuok nasod.
Ang SunStar Pampanga nikuha sa Best Editorial Page award sa daily category usab.
Ang annual awards gipresentar sa PPI, nasudnong asosasyon sa newspapers, uban sa suporta gikan sa Nickel Asia Corp., Hanns Seidel Foundation, International Labor Organization, SM Investments Corp., Ayala Corp., San Miguel Corp. ug McDonald’s.
Ang Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication maoy co-convenor sa kalihokan.
Ubang mananaug mao ang Best in Reporting on Migration Issues - Luzonwide News Correspondent (weekly), Daily Guardian (daily); Best in Photojournalism - Metro Post (weekly), The Freeman (daily); Best in Environmental Reporting - Baguio Chronicle (weekly), Leyte Samar Daily Express (daily).
Ang Best in Business and Economic Reporting - Herald Express (weekly), Best Editorial Page - Palawan News (weekly), and Best Edited Community Newspaper - Metro Post (weekly). (CTL)
