INCUMBENT Sta. Ana Vice Mayor Reinhart "Soy" Guevarra wants to take the lead in the governance of his municipality as he filed his certificate of candidacy for the mayoralty post on Friday morning, October 8, 2021.

Guevarra, who served as town councilor for three consecutive terms prior to his election as vice mayor, is running in the 2022 polls under the Partido Aksyon Demokratiko.

His runningmate is First Councilor Banung Barro, while eight aspiring councilors, namely, Archie Angeles, Martin Dindo, Jerome Gaddi, Dennis Guevarra, Rey-Luna Maglanque, Edwin Pangan, and Sendong Rodriguez are also in his lineup.

Guevarra said his decision to seek a higher post is rooted in his desire to fill the shortages in programs and projects which the people of Sta. Ana deserves to receive.

Among the programs Guevarra wants to implement is the proper waste collection through the proper operation of the town's material recovery facility (MRF).

It could be remembered that the town's MRF was shut down by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources due to an alleged violation of environmental laws.

The mayoral aspirant also assured his townmates of a strategic Covid-19 response program that will include mass vaccination and opening and revival of the economy.

He also vowed to provide livelihood to displaced workers and housewives, assistance to farmers through regular seminars and congress, and scholarship grants to students.

At basta may good governance, sigurado maraming investors ang papasok sa bayan na sigurado naman matatranslate natin into good programs also," Guevarra said.

In the coming 2022 polls, Guevarra will battle it out with incumbent Mayor Ross Gamboa and another challenger lawyer Dennis Pangan for the mayoralty post.
