RIA Atayde cleared the issue that nothing romantic is happening between her and Joshua Garcia. The issue came out when Ria's group called "Nguya Squad" consisting of Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla and Joshua had a photo taken.
In almost all the photos posted on social media, netizens observed that Joshua was always beside Ria.
“Joshua is a very good friend. We laugh about it. It’s actually something we super... ‘Uy, rumored boyfriend, halika dito.’ We’re friends and it’s funny. It’s super, like, ‘Seryoso? Joke ba ito?’ Super,” says the pretty actress.
Ria cannot believe how they are being linked together. "Every time I see that, ‘Ha?’”
Ria narrated how she became close to Joshua. In 2016, while her mom veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez was doing "The Greatest Love" -- an ABS-CBN hit teleserye -- the latter played as Joshua's grandmother.
“I’m super-duper comfortable with him because he was my mom’s grandson in The Greatest Love. He actually celebrated Christmas with us that year and we were... we’re close. Like, we just don’t post about each other and anything. Things got busy pero we always still keep in touch throughout the years."
Currently, Ria and Joshua are doing "Viral" also for ABS-CBN.
“So, lots of reasons to hang out, and he also just recently started playing golf with the boys of my friend group. Now he’s part of it as well. It’s really just that. So I guess whoever is single naman ilalagay nila sa akin. Gets ko naman, guys, single nga!”
The issue is no longer new to Ria. In the past, she was also linked to her boyfriends like Dominic Roque and Marco Gumabao.

Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez is all set to represent the Philippines at the 70th Miss World competition on December 16, 2021, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tracy's reign began on October 3, 2021 during the pageant's grand coronation night held in Subic, Zambales.
Nicknamed Mau, Tracy Maureen was born prematurely on March 23, 1993, in Cebu City. Mau revealed in an article she never met her father and the only thing she knew about him was that her mom met him in the States. The beauty queen related her mom had an accident when she was around 18 and was told by her doctors that she wouldn't live past her 30th birthday.
But her mom had a longer life, given birth to Mau at age 32, and seen her only child bloom into a pretty teenager. She was her mom's miracle baby.
Mau spent most of her childhood in Baguyan, Agusan del Sur.
She recalled, "I grew up in the province where the houses were far away from each other. Being the only kid in the house, I’d get very excited every time my cousins dropped by to visit."
She and her mom moved back to Argao in Cebu after Mau finished her elementary education. At the age of 17, Mau's life changed when her mom passed away.
Heartbroken, Mau found consolation in knowing that her mom lived a wonderful life. Life after her mom's passing was challenging, but Mau was just glad her mom had raised her to become independent.
Mau earned her Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City in 2014. Mau is now a licensed Industrial Engineer and has been working as an associate software engineer in one of the leading BPO companies in the country.
Aside from winning the crown, Tracy also bagged several other special awards, including Miss Blue Water Day Spa, Miss Artopian International, Miss Bench, Miss Dermfix, Best in Swimsuit, and Best in Beach B.
