Bahay Pag-ibig senior citizens get assistance from DA

THE Department of Agriculture (DA)-Central Luzon joined in the celebration of Elderly Filipino Week, as its personnel visited seniors from Bahay Pag-ibig Home for the Aged in Holy Angel Village over the weekend in Barangay Telabastagan in the City of San Fernando.

In collaboration with the Philippine Information Agency, the department distributed mushroom fruiting bags, various types of seedlings and vegetable seeds, DA t-shirts and Ulat newsletters.

According to Social Worker Marion Macatantan, the care home and seniors were very happy and grateful for what they received.

"Our senior citizens are very happy to see what was given, it is a great help to Bahay Pag-ibig especially in this time," Macatantan added.

The Bahay Pag-ibig Home for the Aged started in 1988 and currently cares for 47 senior citizens aged 60 to 91 years-old.
