31 new Covid-19 cases in Oro over the weekend

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to drop, while the city recorded 31 new cases over the weekend.

The cumulative confirmed cases in the city have reached 19,830.

The City Health Office said that among the 31 local cases, 18 were local index cases, eight were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, one local authorized person outside residence (Apor), one Apor with link, and three mortalities.

Likewise, the active cases in Cagayan de Oro went down to 1,548, of which 451 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 1,097 were outpatients, and four were ROFs/LSIs.

Cagayan de Oro also registered an increase in the number of new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered."

Over the weekend, the city recorded 81 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 17,449.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 833.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinees who tested positive for the virus in Cagayan de Oro has reached 4,917, the City Health Office reported.

It added that of the 4,917 vaccinees, 3,061 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 912 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, 327 with Pfizer, 289 were vaccinated with Sputnik V, 299 were vaccinated with Janssen, 23 were vaccinated with Moderna, and six were vaccinated with Sinopharm.
