Bataan province eyes herd immunity

BATAAN Governor Albert Garcia said the Provincial Government is aiming for a herd immunity against coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the near future.

The governor issued the statement after some 298 residents in Bataan province belonging to the Priority Groups A1 to A5 were recently inoculated at a Pop-Up Vaccination Center in Mariveles.

The governor said a total of 541,499 Covid-19 vaccines were administered.

He added that some 248,703 residents are now fully vaccinated and 292,866 individuals received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

The Provincial Government also dispatched mobile vaccine clinics to accommodate the residents who cannot afford to go to vaccination centers.
