THE Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) starts rolling out National ID Registration this week in two SM malls in Davao City.

The Philippine Identification System (Philsys) Registration Center will be opened beginning on Monday, October 11 on the third floor of SM City Davao and on Wednesday, October 13 at Cinema Lobby, second floor in SM Lanang Premier.

Both sites will be operational from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Mondays to Sundays.

PSA Davao del Sur encourages the public to first book an appointment and enlist at https://register.philsys.gov.ph to maintain physical distancing measures in two centers.

The National ID Registration is also ongoing in other SM malls throughout the country.

“SM supports the national government’s endeavor to establish a single national identification system for all Filipinos,” says Engr. Jonathan Nick D. Santos, regional operations manager of SM Supermalls Mindanao.

SM Supermalls has inked a partnership in June with PSA to help in providing safe spaces for National ID Registration.

“This partnership is a welcome development as we continue to deliver our mandate for the National ID system of our country,” shares Randolph Anthony B. Gales, chief statistical specialist of PSA Davao del Sur.

Meanwhile, in time for National Statistics Month, PSA-Davao conducts a mini-exhibit featuring the latest economic figures and other development trends on the second floor, Main Mall, fronting Speedo in SM City. The exhibit is open to the public from October 11 to 15. (PR)
