MORE than 4.0 million new voters 18 to 21 years old have registered with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) as of Thursday, October 14, 2021.
A Comelec report, which Commissioner Rowena Guanzon posted on social media, showed that 2,156,657 new female voters and 1,937,957 male voters in this age group registered with Comelec, for a total of 4,094,614.
Of this number, 1,547,469 are 21 years old, 1,238,284 are 20 years old, 990,380 are 19 years old, and 318,481 are 18 years old.
Registration of voters for the May 9, 2022 national and local elections has been extended until October 30, 2021. (MVI / SunStar Philippines)
