INDIE music fans, rejoice! Melt Records together with Converge ICT presents a Facebook live gig on Oct. 29. Dubbed “Supermelt” powered by Converge, the event aims to “make the local sounds come alive again through a hybrid music experience.”

The online live gig features handpicked Melt Records talents from the Visayas and Mindanao regions of the Philippines: Sunday Sunday, The Line Divides, Lynel, Chelsea Dawn, Manic Mundane, Soda Can Genie and KRNA.

“This event is also geared towards helping indie musicians thrive in the New Normal by creating a venue for them to reach their audience in a virtual setting,” said Melt Records co-founders Derwin Dexter Sy and PJ Ong. The line-up of artists were carefully curated to represent the regions covered by Converge’s services.

The online live event also features guest bands Mandaue Nights and PG-18.

Melt Records is an independent label based in Cebu City with majority of its roster being based in the Visayas and Mindanao regions. The independent record label hopes to “represent the vast musical diversity and talents in the Southern half of the country while being true to its core value: creating a culture of transparency in the thriving local music scene.”

In line with its goals, the label recently launched its Artists Dashboard. It is an online platform for independent artists to track their earnings and royalties from streaming and music download sales.

Converge ICT Solutions Inc. is the fastest-growing high-speed fixed broadband operator in the Philippines. Converge is now available in Cebu City, Talisay City, Lapu-Lapu, Cordova, Davao City, Cagayan de Oro City, Iloilo City, Roxas City, and growing further to cover the rest of the Visayas and Mindanao with already close to 20,000 subscribers.
