Kini nagpasabot sa pag-uwan sa dakong bahin sa nasod hangtod sa first quarter sa 2022, matod ni Pagasa Deputy Administrator for Research and Development Esperanza Cayanan.
Matod niya, dunay upat ka mga umaabot nga bagyo nga mosulod sa Philippine area of responsibiliy (PAR), ug moigo sa dili pa motapos ning tuiga. Ang mga bagyo gipaabot nga mopakusog sa amihan.
Kusog ang pagbunok sa uwan nga taas sa normal nga kondisyon nga hinungdan sa flashfloods, pagbaha ug pagdahili sa yuta sa risgo nga dapit labina sa silangang bahin sa nasod, matod ni Cayanan.
Ang Pagasa niluwat sa first advisory sa La Niña kagahapon, pipila ka adlaw sa pagbiya sa bagyong ‘Maring’ nga nikusokuso sa Luzon.
“Recent oceanic and atmospheric conditions indicate La Niña has developed in the tropical Pacific. Since July 2021, the sea surface temperatures in the central and equatorial Pacific started to cool and further temperature drop strengthened in September, reaching La Niña threshold. Based on the latest forecast, La Niña is likely to persist until the first quarter of 2022,” dason ni Cayanan atol sa virtual press conference.
