New coronavirus infections in Oro at 23

NEW coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continued to decline, as the city recorded 29 new cases, bringing the cumulative caseload to 19,908.

Of the 23 new confirmed cases, eight were local index cases, six were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, one local authorized person outside residence (Apor), and eight persons deprived of liberty (PDL).

Cagayan de Oro also recorded a drop in the number of active cases, which is at 1,081. Of the figure, 312 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 766 were outpatients, and three ROFs/LSIs.

The number of coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered" increased after the city registered 76 new recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 17,991.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city reached 836.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated individuals who tested positive for coronavirus in Cagayan de Oro is now at 4,948.

Of the 4,948 vaccinees, 3,078 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine; 915 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca; 331 with Pfizer; 292 with Sputnik V; 303 with Janssen; six with Sinopharm; 23 with Moderna.
