CLARK FREEPORT -- More than 100 micro, small, and medium enterprises from seven provinces in Central Luzon joined the first Likha ng Central Luzon Hybrid Trade Fair which will run from October 13 to 17 in various areas.

Bataan Governor Albert Garcia, who is also the chairman of the Regional Development Council Central Luzon, said the trade fair is aimed to promote in the entire country the quality products of Central Luzon provinces.

"Layon po ng trade fair na ito na itaguyod at mas makilala hindi lang sa ating rehiyon kung hindi maging sa buong bansa ang mga de-kalidad na produkto sa bawat probinsya," he said.

(The purpose of this trade fair is to promote and better recognize not only in our region but also in the whole country the quality products in each province.)

According to Garcia, the hybrid trade fair was conceptualized because of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

"Sa katunayan, ika-23 taon na ito ng pagdaraos ng trade fair subalit dala ng pandemya, ngayong taon ay ginawa itong hybrid na matutunghayan online at face-to-face," he said.

(In fact, this is the 23rd year of holding a trade fair but due to the pandemic, this year it has been made a hybrid that can be seen online and face-to-face.)

Products are sold at SM City Cabanatuan for Aurora and Nueva Ecija provinces; SM City Olongapo for Bataan and Zambales; Waltermart Malolos for Bulacan; SM City Pampanga for Pampanga; and SM CIty Tarlac for Tarlac province.

"Bilang Chairman ng Regional Development Council Central Luzon, inaanyayahan ko po ang lahat na bisitahin ang trade fair at tangkilikin ang mga produkto ng ating mga kababayan maging ng mga karatig lalawigan hanggang ika-17 ng Oktubre," Garcia said.

(As Chairman of Regional Development Council Central Luzon, I invite everyone to visit the trade fair and enjoy the products of our countrymen as well as the neighboring provinces until the 17th of October.)

The governor lauded the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Regional Development Center, Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc., Philexport, Regional MSME Development Council and the provincial governments in Central Luzon for supporting the project.

"Sa mga nagnanais bumili online, maaaring bisitahin ang Likha ng Central Luzon (Those who want to buy online, can visit Likha Ng Central Luzon)," Garcia said.
