ONLY Covid-19 fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to enter and visit the cemeteries in Cebu City on Nov. 1, 2021 (All Saints’ Day) and Nov. 2, (All Souls’ Day), according to the Oplan “Kalag-Kalag” guidelines issued by the City Government on Friday, Oct. 15.

However, a categorized, scheduled, and regulated “open house admission” for individuals aged 18 to 65-years-old will be allowed on Oct. 18 to Oct. 30, and from Nov. 3 to Nov. 5, only, regardless of their Covid-19 vaccination status.

In a directive signed by Cebu City Acting Mayor Michael Rama, the City also said that only five visitors per grave will be allowed at any given time; a team will monitor the compliance of the directive.

Holy masses are allowed to be celebrated inside the cemetery, but only in the chapel and at 50 percent indoor capacity.

All masses should be celebrated at 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. and should last for 30 minutes only.

The City Government also prohibits the bringing of food, eating, and drinking alcoholic beverages inside the cemetery, with the exception of those that are intended for the dead.

Gambling of any form and other recreational activities are also not allowed.
