Group to presidential aspirants: What are your plans for labor?

AS PRESIDENTIAL aspirants begin to form their respective lineups for the May 2022 elections, the labor sector on Saturday, October 16, 2021, asked that they also start revealing their plans and programs for the workers.

"Election candidates must use the occasion to educate our voters on why we should or should not vote for them," said Defend Jobs Philippines spokesperson Christian Lloyd Magsoy.

"The Filipino workers' search for pro-labor candidates begins as well," he added.

On the other hand, the labor leader urged their colleagues to get all the necessary information regarding the would be candidates.

He said such information is necessary if they are to decide on who would best help the labor sector in the future.

"We must scrutinize the platforms, track records and labor agenda of each and every candidates for us to know who are the genuine pro-labor candidates," he said.

"We encourage our fellow workers to be more intelligent voters and not to be fooled again by false candidates making vows of addressing various labor issues," added Magsoy. (HDT / SunStar Philippines)
