THE cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro has reached 19,933 after 25 more residents tested positive for the virus.
According to the City Health Office, of the 25 new local cases, 20 were local index cases, three were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, and two were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors).
Cagayan de Oro now has 1,035 active cases, 307 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 725 were outpatients, and three returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs) or locally stranded individuals (LSIs.)
The city also registered 71 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 18,062.
The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city has now reached 836 in total.
Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinated coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro was now at 4,964, the City Health Office reported.
According to the City Health Office, of the 4,964 vaccinees, 3,086 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine; 917 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca; 336 with Pfizer; 292 with Sputnik V; 304 with Janssen; six with Sinopharm; and 23 with Moderna.
