NMMC to lower alert status to code green

THE Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) is set to downgrade its alert status from code red to code green, according to the hospital's Research Center head Dr. Gina Itchon.

Itchon said that code green means that the hospital will be able to treat non-Covid patients.

"Mogawas na normal na status na. Dili na puro Covid ang among atimanon, mobalik na sad mi'g atiman sa uban nga kaso," Itchon said.

As of October 15, 2021, a total of 67 Covid-19 positive patients were admitted in the NMMC's Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Disease (EREID) and CEREID.

Of the 67 admitted at the NMMC, 33 are residents of Cagayan de Oro, 24 are from Misamis Oriental, two are from Camiguin, two are from Bukidnon, one from Iligan City, one from Marawi City, one from North Cotabato, one from Zamboanga del Sur, one from Agusan del Sur, and one from Lanao del Norte.

City Health Office medical officer Dr. Ted Yu, for his part, reminded the public not to be complacent and relaxed.

"Wag tayong maging kompyansa or relaxed even nasa code green yung NMMC. Tuloy-tuloy tayo sa ating efforts sa pagsugpo ng ating Covid-19 dito sa city, especially sa pag practice ng ating minimum public health standards," Yu said.

"I-avoid nato ang atong mga super spreader activities and very important and ating vaccination," he added.
