Olsim faces Radzuan in ‘Nextgen II’

FILIPINA warrior Jenelyn Olsim takes on Malaysian Jihin Radzuan in a Women’s Atomweight Grand Prix alternate bout in the undercard of ONE Championship – “Nextgen II” on November 12, 2021 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.

Olsim was supposed to fight undefeated American Grace Cleveland as one of the two Grand Prix alternate bouts in the all-Women show ONE – “Empower.” However, Olsim was left without an opponent after Cleveland backed out of the fight for health reasons.

The 24-year-old Olsim won back-to-back fights with wins over Maira Mazar and Bi Nguyen in his two fights in the ONE cage.

Olsim started out fighting locally in Underground Battle and had a stint at the World Series of Fighting before finding her way to ONE’s developmental league, ONE Warrior Series.

On the other hand, Radzuan is a seven-fight veteran in the ONE Championship. She started out strong in her ONE campaign with three straight wins, most notably against one-time title challenger Jenny Huang.

Radzuan suffered her first career defeat in 2019 after a split decision in the hands of Filipina Gina Iniong. She bounced back with a first round triangle choke of Filipina Jomary Torres before losing again to another Filipina, Denice Zamboanga, in her next fight.

Radzuan’s latest outing was in 2020, when she beat Nguyen by unanimous decision.

Olsim is 5-2, while Radzuan is 6-2.

The main event features a Muay Thai bout between Thai stars Saempetch Fairtex (123-16-1) and Rittewada Petchyindee (65-19). (EKA)
