Over 200,000 fully vaccinated in Cagayan de Oro

THE cumulative number of individuals who have received their doses of Covid-19 vaccine in Cagayan de Oro as of October 18, was 486,582, according to the report of the Cagayan de Oro City Health Insurance Office.

Of the 486,582 vaccinated Kagay-anons, 285,927 got their first dose of the vaccines, while 201,400 were fully vaccinated.

According to the said report, among the 486,582 vaccinees, 381,325 were vaccinated in City-run vaccination sites and 105,257 were vaccinated in Cagayan de Oro hospitals.

Of the 381,325 individuals vaccinated in City-run vaccination sites, 30,530 were frontline healthcare workers; 56,758 were senior citizens; 89,648 were persons with comorbidities; 179,115 were essential frontline workers; 19,879 were from the A5 priority group; and 5,395 were from the Filipino-Chinese community.

Meanwhile, Cagayan de Oro has recorded 81 vaccinated deaths as of October 19.

Of the said figure, 41 were vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine; 19 with AstraZeneca; 12 with Janssen; six with Sputnik V; and three with Pfizer.

Cagayan de Oro now has a total of 836 Covid-19 deaths, in which the majority of them were unvaccinated at 90 percent or 755.
