EIGHT years since the release of her last album “To Manila,” singer-actress Geneva Cruz releases her new single “Sinungaling” under Curve Entertainment label.
The song is written by singer-songwriter Junji Arias who produced her last album.
“Sinungaling” is relatable, singable and catchy. Geneva was the voice behind the hit songs “Kailan” and “Better World” when she was with the group Smokey Mountain.
Her first solo album “I Like You” produced the hit single “Anak ng Pasig” which was composed by Jimmy Antiporda. Although she can readily make another album, Geneva opts to take it slow this time.
Being away from the scene for some time, Geneva wants to test the waters with “Sinungaling” and see if people can relate to it.
“I want a sound to be genuinely who I am in this life now,” the singer-actress stressed. “Singing has always been one of my passions and it makes me happy,” she said.
Geneva has made a video of the song with her former Smokey Mountain co-member Jeffrey Hidalgo directing. She is very thankful that her fans welcomed her back when she became visible by performing again.
Geneva is bent on reviving her showbiz career not only in singing but in acting as well. She has recently signed a contract with the Kapuso Network for a teleseries to be released next year.
