Ang Visayan Electric residential customers makasinati og P0.13 centavos pagsaka sa average rate sa maong billing month tungod sa taas nga presyo sa gasolina sa merkado sa kalibutan, ingon man ang pagtaas sa singil sa transmission sa National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
Si Engr. Raul C. Lucero, presidente ug chief operating officer sa Visayan Electric, mipasabot nga ang mga paningkamot sa electric distribution utility nga ipaubos ang generation rates niini pinaagi sa pag-undang sa pipila ka Power Supply Agreement (PSAs) naapsan sa nag-usa usab nga presyo sa lana sa merkado sa kalibutan.
“Visayan Electric is constantly trying to find ways to lower electricity cost such as renegotiating or terminating contracts with our power suppliers. However, the prices of fuel, the main source of power in the country, are really high right now and these are things that we cannot control,” pasabot ni Lucero.
